Forty Players to Watch for 2011 Player of Year Award

The Walter Camp Football Foundation has announced the names of forty “players to watch” for its 2011 Player of the Year award, the nation’s fourth-oldest individual college football accolade.

Oregon’s Chip Kelly Named Walter Camp 2010 Coach of the Year

Chip Kelly, head coach of the undefeated and BCS National Championship Game-bound Oregon Ducks, has been named the Walter Camp 2010 Coach of the Year.

Auburn quarterback Cam Newton Named Walter Camp 2010 Player ot the Year

Auburn quarterback Cam Newton headlines the 2010 Walter Camp Football Foundation All-America team, the 121st honored by the organization. The nation’s oldest All-America team was announced live on The Home Depot College Football Awards Show on ESPN.

Top-ranked and undefeated Auburn had the most players (3) selected to the First Team. Oklahoma State and TCU each had two players chosen to the First Team. In all, 23 different schools from eight conferences were represented on the All-America First Team.
